Dr. Pratibha Vijay is the visionary founder and Chief Creative Officer (CCO) of Lushfairy, a clothing brand dedicated to creating elegant, unstitched suits and lehengas that celebrate the beauty and diversity of every body type. Armed with a wealth of academic achievements—including graduation, a Company Secretary qualification, and advanced law degrees (LLB, LLM), in addition to a Post Graduate Diploma in Labour Law (DLL) and a PhD in Women's Health—Dr. Pratibha seamlessly integrates her vast expertise with her lifelong passion for fashion.
Her interest in the fashion industry began during her college years, where she developed a deep appreciation for the art of clothing design. This passion continued to grow as she regularly attended fashion shows and became actively involved in designing clothes. Her hands-on approach ensures that Lushfairy pieces are thoughtfully crafted, blending style with purpose.
While working as a mental health counsellor, Dr. Pratibha realized that body image issues were a significant source of depression and dissatisfaction for many individuals. This insight inspired her to create a fashion brand that uplifts and empowers people, offering customizable clothing options that suit and flatter every body type. Lushfairy is more than a clothing brand; it’s a movement to promote body positivity, self-love, and confidence through fashion.
